I would like to introduce to you a new Miami music teacher to our Lessons In Your Home family, Stewart Rabin. I just brought on Stewart to teach private music lessons in the South Florida area and I think that he has a lot to offer the South Florida area music students! He’ll be teaching most of his students in Coral Springs, Hallandale Beach, and Hollywood areas.
An Orchestra Director
Stewart Rabin is currently the orchestra director at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, FL. Douglas, as it turns out, happens to be where I went to high school! Stewart was not the director there when I was in school, as it turns out, but it still is a very cool coincidence. Aside from teaching at Stoneman Douglas, Stewart has been a band/orchestra director in Broward County for the past 14 years.
Orchestra directors make fabulous teachers. Stewart is used to teaching many different types of instruments to many different types of students on a daily basis. Stewart is originally a trumpet player, but he is also able to teach piano, guitar, clarinet, and other woodwinds.
As a trumpet player, Stewart Rabin studied and perfected his craft at University of Miami, SUNY Purchase, and Florida International University. In his time at these universities, he studied with many talented professors including most notably, Arturo Sandoval.
You Name It, He’s Playing
As a teacher who also enjoys performing music live, I really like the fact that Stewart also plays out in bands. He plays keyboards in an original blues band fronted by his wife, and they play out all around South Florida. Stewart is also a member of “The Miami Jazz Project”, showcasing his jazz trumpet chops at any opportunity. Stewart indeed is a very well rounded musician.
Stewart currently lives in the Hallandale Beach area, so he is available for lessons around Hallandale Beach and Hollywood areas. Also, because Stewart teaches in Parkland, he is also open to accepting students in the Coral Springs area as well.
Miami Music Teacher
Perhaps one of my favorite things about Stewart is what he feels like he can offer students. He is focused on making each lesson fun while making sure that the student is progressing with their instrument in the best way possible. Stewart is a person who truly loves teaching and will inspire the love of learning in any student.
