What Families Say About Us

Wallingford flute Lessons For Kids

Most of our flute students are kids that range in age from 7-17 years old. Before starting flute lessons, it is important for them to be able to hold the instrument up. An average flute is only about 1.13 lbs, and students must be able to hold the instrument parallel. For these reasons, we recommend that your student be at least 7 or 8 years old before beginning the flute.
Lessons In Your Home strongly believes in teaching proper technique while maintaining interesting and engaging lessons. To that end, our teachers use a wide range of method books including: Rubank, Accent on Achievement, and Essential Elements. One thing that sets Lessons In Your Home apart is that every single teacher cares deeply for every single student. They spend time delicately crafting a specialized plan for each of their students. You are no exception!
