Kalenn Welch, a native Houstonian, started playing piano at age 7. After 8 years of piano, Kalenn decided to move onto to flute and singing in the church choir. High school is where Kalenn fell in love with choir and using her voice to express her inner most feelings. Kalenn began taking voice lessons as a freshman and participated in Region competitions and Madrigal choir. Kalenn received her Bachelor’s of Art in Music Therapy and Minor in Vocal Performance from Sam Houston State University in 2009. As part of the music therapy curriculum, Kalenn learned how to play guitar, percussion, woodwinds, strings and brass instruments. During her time at Sam Houston State, Kalenn served as Vice President and President of a Music Therapy Organization, Mu Tau Omega. In February 2010, Kalenn became the owner of Rhythm of Life Music Therapy.

Kalenn is now working as a Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT) and a music teacher.
