About Hector Matamoros

Hector Matamoros's passion for music arose from a very early age, and at the tender age of seven, he began his career and love for music, singing with his school and choirs. Now, many years later, Hector is further pursuing his musical studies, where he is currently finishing his music and economics studies at the prestigious University of St. Thomas. During his collegiate studies, Hector has been a winner of several singing competitions, such as the National Association of Teachers of Singing, and he has also been a performer in several televised competitions in Miami, Florida.

Over the last 10 years, Hector has shared his knowledge with students of all ages; from children, to teenagers, and even to adults. With the training and passion he has acquired through the years, Hector hopes to transmit the importance of the arts as an important part of our society, and his goal in teaching is to relay his knowledge while having fun and enjoying music with anyone willing to learn.
