    About Shelby Gipson

    Shelby Gipson is a native of San Augustine Texas and has been studying classical singing since 2014. He began playing piano in 2013. He started life out as a trumpet player and played until he began to study voice. He is a Tenor who loves all music; everything from Puccini to Megan Trainer, and everything in-between.

    Shelby continued his music studies at a collegiate level at The University of Texas at Tyler. At UT Tyler he was featured in several musical and opera scenes performances, including roles in You're A Good Man Charlie Brown where he played Schroder, and Once on This Island, where he played Daniel.

    Shelby has enjoyed a position singing for First Presbyterian Church in Tyler, where he expanded his knowledge of both choral music and worked musically with a variety of people of different ages and abilities. Shelby has enjoyed his teaching journey thus far, working with piano, guitar, ukulele, and voice students of all ages. He hopes to share the passion he has for music with his students, through teaching fun and unique lessons.
