About Shane Tucker

Shane started his musical journey with guitar at the age of 11. After playing guitar for several years, he added the alto saxophone in 6th grade and continued through grade 12, furthering his knowledge as a musician. Shane continues to this day to work on his musicianship in the areas of composition and performance with his mentor, an alumni from the Berklee College of Music.

Shane believes that knowledge is something that can always be improved and expanded upon, and that is what he hopes to bring to the table through music and his teaching. In his spare time, Shane writes his own music and collaborates with other musicians and instrumentalists, as well. Teaching is something that Shane values very much and will strive to provide the best musical education through guitar. Shane has worked in music in the fields of both education and administration for the last several years, working at local schools like Music and Arts and School of Rock, and he looks forward to sharing his knowledge and passion for music with students of all ages and abilities!
