Born in Florida raised in Houston, Ricardo Flores is a Dominican cellist, who has been performing for over a decade. Ricardo has had the opportunity to perform in many venues, including the John F Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Alice Tully Hall at Juilliard, Chichester Cathedral in England and any more. He has had the opportunity to perform with great orchestras, such as the Virtuosi of Houston, Moores School of Music Symphony Orchestra, Texas Music Festival Orchestra, and Chichester University Orchestra. Through his time performing, he has also had the opportunity to perform with Grammy nominated singer Wintley Phipps and Mac Powell from the Christian rock band Third Day. He has also performed for many distinguished figures, including Sarah, the Duchess of York and Sen. Orrin Hatch. During his time in Houston, Flores has had the opportunity to study with Grammy nominated cellist, Courtenay Vandiver Pereira. Ricardo has also enjoyed his journey as a music educator, teaching private lessons in public middle and high schools in the Cypress area for the last 4 years.
Currently, Ricardo is attending the University of Houston and pursuing his Bachelor of Music degree in Cello Performance under the tutelage of Houston Symphony member, Anthony Kitai.
