Teacher Profile: Preston Sharp

About Preston Sharp

Preston Sharp is a passionate and motivated music education student at Houston Baptist University. He started his musical journey singing in church at age five. Upon reaching middle school, Preston joined the band as a percussionist, and took up the drum set. He spent the next several years playing in worship bands, and began playing the guitar in his freshman year of high school. Later in high school he joined the choir, and found his true passion. Since then he’s been performing and teaching music every chance he gets.

Preston believes that a fun environment works wonders for the young musician (young in years and/or in experience) and that consistency is key.

Preston is excited to teach, and even more excited to see his students grow.
