Michael started playing piano at age 3 and trumpet at age 10. He went on to play both instruments through all of his childhood, and was a member of the San Diego Youth Symphony for 4 straight years.
From there, Michael went on to receive his Bachelors degree in Trumpet Performance from Vanderbilt University’s Blair School of Music. Michael also continued his piano studies with faculty throughout his four years at Vanderbilt. Other notable credits include being a co-founder and conductor of the San Diego Philharmonic, being a trumpet fellow at the Eastern Music Festival, and being a member of the Amsterdam Conservatories’ Netherlands Tour.
Michael is currently a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Houston, and is very excited to share his love of music with his students.
