Michael started taking piano lessons when he was 5 and shortly after his 17th birthday, he became a semi-finalist in an International Chopin Competition by knocking out hundreds of competitors from around the world. He then went on to study music at the Moore’s School of Music at the University of Houston.
During his years at UOH, Michael played in local rock and jazz bands performing in venues across Houston, TX. He was also a staff pianist at a church for four years accompanying the choir and local worship bands.
Michael teaches both children and adults since he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music in 2014. In private lessons, he always shows how much fun and rewarding it can be to play the piano.
