Laura Bueno has established herself as a versatile vocalist and pianist, known for bringing depth and authenticity to every performance. Laura was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, where she found herself drawn to the art of music at a young age. and dedicated herself early on to learning the craft. Her journey as a musicians spans an array of educational environments, learning both "on the ground" as a performer, and in the classroom for her formal musical study. Ms. Bueno is a lifelong church musician, involved as a worship leader from the time she was a young child. Most recently, she led a Hispanic worship team at her church, facilitating performances, programming worship nights, and performing frequently. Laura completed her Associates in Fine Arts at Fayetteville Technical Community College under the tutelage of worship music mentor and professor, Alec Powers, who inspired her greatly. While completing her music studies at FTCC, Laura performed in leading roles as both a singer and pianist, and was honored to perform as a soloist at the school's graduation ceremony. In the future, Laura looks forward to completing her Bachelor in Music Production and Songwriting degree at Berklee School of Music through their online program.
As a performer, Laura continues to expand her solo repertoire while actively pursuing collaborations within the Houston music community. Laura considers herself a lifelong student, and believes we always have something more we can learn in the pursuit of artistic growth and genuine connections. Her approach to teaching comes from her belief that each student is special, and has talents and abilities that can be unlocked with the right tools. She adapts to each student to ensure they get the most out of their lessons and reach their full potential.
In her free time, Laura enjoys exploring the city with friends. Outside of music, some of her favorite activities are finding new coffee spots, and enjoying Houston's many parks.
