About Kris Peysen

Kris Peysen began his musical studies in sixth grade when he began taking private lessons in electric guitar. In ninth grade, he expanded his studies by also taking up classical guitar through a program at his local high school, and since then has practiced and performed on both instruments and styles. In college, he further broadened his musical horizons by studying composing, and has achieved multiple degrees in that field. He holds a Bachelor in Music Composition from the University of North Texas, a Master in Music Composition from the University of Louisville, and is in the process of completing a Ph.D. in Music Composition from the University of Iowa.

In addition to making and enjoying music, he enjoys a variety of other activities, including social dancing, board games, yoga, playing video games, and reading fantasy and science fiction.
