    About Keisha Cassel

    Keisha Cassel was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She has been performing on Violin since 2003.

    Keisha's had opportunity to study alongside the Cleveland Orchestra, as a part of the Cleveland State University Orchestra, and at the Steinhardt School of Music. She received her BA in Music from Smith College in 2013.

    While at Smith College , Keisha received the Susan Rose Internship for Excellence in Music and used the funds to start a summer community outreach program in her hometown. During that time she was also awarded an International Excellence scholarship from Royal Holloway University of London where she studied abroad in the fall of 2012.

    Keisha has studied chamber music, her preferred performance style with Peter Soloff of the Julliard Quartet/Cleveland Institute of Music and Annie Fullard with the Cavani Quartet.

    As a an active violin teacher in Houston, TX. Keisha likes watching students grow in the tradition she loves. She teaches with a warm and encouraging approach believing a students desire comes from loving music.
