About Juliana Sawyer

Juliana Sawyer is a dedicated musician and music educator originally from Kansas City, Missouri. Her musical journey began at the age of eight when she first sat down at the piano, sparking a lifelong passion for music that has shaped both her personal and professional life. Over the years, Juliana has expanded her expertise to include guitar and voice, deepening her connection to a wide range of musical styles and traditions.

She holds a Bachelor of Music from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and an Associate of Arts from Johnson County Community College. Along the way, she has been privileged to study under esteemed teachers, including Dr. Christopher Madden and Dr. Jonathan Ray, whose guidance has had a lasting impact on her growth as both a performer and educator.

Juliana’s musical journey has been filled with memorable experiences, from performing in university ensembles and solo recitals to directing youth music activities and leading private studio recitals.

Outside of music, Juliana enjoys spending time with her dogs, Princess and Lady, exploring new boba shops, running 5Ks, and watching animated films. She brings creativity, warmth, and professionalism to every lesson and performance, aiming to inspire the same joy and passion for music in her students that has shaped her own life.
