About Joel Gutierrez

Joel Gutierrez is a local drummer with a passion for doing live performance. Joel has played with an original music band for the last 20 years, plays covers as a sit in musician with several bands around town has done work in a few churches and has made a name for himself locally by doing so.

Joel commonly performs in different styles of music such as rock, pop, reggae, hip hop, tejano and cumbia. Joel has toured the U.S., Mexico and the Caribbean Islands as a supporting act for bands such as El Tri, Maxi Priest, Trapt, Papa Roach, Enanitos Verdes, Cafe Tacuva, Resorte, Victimas Del Dr. Cerebro, Fobia and El Aragan.

Joel studied drums and percussion under Marcie Chapa who was the percussionist for Beyonce in her all female band. His true passion is the development of younger students in the art of drumming.
