About Ian Boulet

Ian Boulet is a passionate guitar and bass instructor who has taught students ranging in age from 6 to 60, working with beginners through advanced players on electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and bass. Ian has taught all around the Houston area in his pursuit to help students develop their skills and confidence as musicians.

As a performer, Ian has played live shows at venues and events including Warehouse Live, House of Blues, Margarita Fest, and other stages across the region. His performance background spans a wide variety of styles, from country rock and hard rock to psychedelic rock, with a particular love for blues, rock, and metal.

In lessons, Ian focuses on meeting each student where they are and helping them play the music they love as soon as possible. Known by his students for his patience and supportive teaching style, he works to tailor lessons to each individual student’s learning style, musical taste, and personal goals. Ian believes that keeping students motivated comes from helping them feel a sense of accomplishment while making the learning process fun and engaging.

For Ian, teaching music is about sharing something meaningful. Whether it’s seeing a student perform their first concert or write their first song, he finds great joy in helping others discover their own love of music.
