    About Hayden Forsythe

Hayden moved to Houston in 2022 and is excited to continue making music in the greater Houston area. Hayden started playing clarinet at the age of 12 in school, but switched to saxophone six months later. From there, he continued playing saxophone through much of high school until a local youth orchestra advertised an open clarinet position. He picked up the clarinet, fell in love with the instrument again, and went on to pursue clarinet in college. Hayden received a Bachelors of Music in Clarinet Performance from Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, OH and later received a Masters of Music in Clarinet Performance at the University of Cincinnati’s CCM (Cincinnati, OH). Upon graduation in 2017, Hayden moved to Corpus Christi Texas to be closer to family, and began teaching clarinet and saxophone in the area. Additionally, shortly after moving, he joined the substitute roster for both the Corpus Christi Symphony and Victoria Symphony and has performed in both on a number of occasions. Currently, Hayden spends most of his time teaching a wide range of students as well as participating in the piano technician internship program at the University of Houston.

As an instructor, Hayden believes that everyone can play music. Music is an art that’s uniquely ingrained into everyday life, which means that learning to make and appreciate music is a skill that will remain valuable for the rest of our lives.
