Emily Schuck is a lyric soprano from North Richland Hills, Texas. She recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Sam Houston State University.
Emily has been teaching voice and piano lessons spanning all age groups for over two years. She has experience teaching both privately and in a classroom setting. In addition to teaching, she also enjoys performing. Emily has performed roles in operas and musicals such as Pernille in "A Beautiful Bridegroom", Witch 1 in "Dido and Aeneas", The Sandman in "Hansel and Gretel", Beth in "Little Women", and Cinderella in "Into the Woods". She has performed internationally in Japan, and studied in Puccini's hometown of Lucca, Italy with the Accademia Vocale Lorenzo Malfatti. She has studied with Dr. Evangelina Colon and Dr. Deborah Popham. In addition, she has received coaching and instruction from Dr. Roger Keele, Saule Garcia, Dr.Jake Sustaita, and Dr. Josu De Solaun
Emily has won accolades such as outstanding collegiate music educator from the Texas Music Educators Association, third prize in the SHSU Art Song Competition, and semi-finalist in Texoma NATS. She also enjoys singing in ensembles and performs in the choir at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, and with the Piping Rock Singers and Avanzare Vocal Ensemble.
