Emilio Rodriguez is a Houston-based musician and composer who began his musical journey learning to play bass at the age of 7. He studied music under Jose and Julio Pecina, who are both well-respected music teachers in the Houston area. Since then, he has learned to play and teach various instruments, most notably the guitar and the piano. Now a professional musician who has been performing for over 15 years, Emilio is currently part of recognized Houston musical groups such as Mariachi Oro de mi Tierra with whom he plays bass, and Grupo 45 for which he plays lead guitar. Emilio has performed at notable venues around Houston such as the Wortham Theatre Center, The Hobby Center, The Miller Outdoor Theatre, and the Discovery Green.
Emilio welcomes all levels of students and believes that anyone can learn to play an instrument with enough hard work, dedication, and patience.
