His primary instrument is percussion, where he brings extensive experience in performance, instruction, and ensemble development. He also teaches low brass and piano, helping students build strong fundamentals, musicianship, and confidence.
Mr. Austin has taught students at every grade level, from kindergarten through 12th grade. Throughout his career, he has worked to create engaging learning environments that challenge students to achieve musical excellence while fostering discipline, teamwork, and leadership. He believes every student can succeed through consistent effort, quality instruction, and a passion for music.
As an educator, Mr. Austin's goal is to inspire students not only to become skilled performers but also to develop the character, work ethic, and lifelong appreciation for music that extends beyond the classroom.
