Teacher Profile: Benjamin Farmer

About Benjamin Farmer

Ben Farmer is a bassist with ten years of experience and immersion in music. He is a life-long admirer and learner of music. At age 8, on a trip to France, he had his first experience playing piano, and that kickstarted his passion for music.

Ben previously attended Houston Community College (HCC) under the tutelage of Marcello Zigaran, and has partaken in bands and symphonic programs at HCC, Alvin Community College (ACC), Texas A&M Corpus Christi (TAMUCC) and Del Mar College. Ben’s approach with his students includes a unique blend of establishing strong musical foundations and having fun with music. Though Ben’s first instrument is bass, he has gained proficiency and love for guitar, ukulele, and piano along his journey. Currently, he is a student at Alvin Community College pursuing a Piano Instrumentation Degree and is a member of the Alvin Community Band and the Alvin Jazz Band.
