William Sebastian Petersen grew up in Miami and has lived there his whole life. Growing up in such a diverse and populated city helped him understand many people and foster his social skills. In elementary school, he joined up with the Boy Scouts of America and went all the way from Tiger Cub to Eagle Scout! His Eagle Scout community service project was the restoration of an Island in Coconut Grove for the not-for-profit Shake-A-Leg foundation.
Apart from being a musician, he is a huge gamer and plays all sorts of games from Minecraft to Zelda to Halo and so much more! It’s one of his favorite pastimes when he comes home after a long day of dedicated hard work! What he exceptionally enjoys about many of the games is the soundtracks included! He says, “The music in these games is less of songs and more, pieces of music, musical scores!”
His father often played piano and guitar in his youth. As William listened to the sound of music, he would imagine all sorts of adventures and worlds that it created. Listening to his father play music, the music from all his favorite video games, and having music classes in school helped him appreciate and strive to become a musician himself! William now has almost 20 years of experience playing the piano and continued his music education through college and the school systems by teaching in the Miami-Dade-County public school systems.
