Wendy Montenegro is a lifelong musician and teacher. She immigrated to the United States in 2010 from Guatemala. Her areas of expertise are music education, violin instruction and violin performance. She continues her search for opportunities to educate students about classical music performance. She received her teaching license in 2015 by completing the alternative licensure program offered by CU Denver.
Wendy received her bachelor’s degree in music performance in 2007. She taught music in Guatemala for four years and five years in Rockford Illinois. She also spent five years teaching music at Hanson Elementary School. She teaches orchestra, chamber music, choir, mariachi, and general music. She dedicated to serving students of all races and colors.
Wendy is a person of color who wants to make music a more diverse and inclusive place for all students. Her passion is music performance and education. Wendy is passionate about meeting new people and spreading the joy of music.
