    About Valerie Sapienza

    Valerie began playing the piano at the age of 3. She received classical training for 15 years, competing in piano competitions, participating in music festivals, state assessments, and National Piano Guild auditions. She achieved the highest level (level 12) in both aural and written music theory, as well as piano performance through the Florida State Music Teacher’s Association.

    Valerie holds a Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Throughout her academic journey, she has seamlessly integrated music into her life. She actively volunteers and leads sessions for Mind & Melody, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing music lessons and performances to dementia patients in nursing homes.

    Valerie derives immense joy from sharing the transformative power of music, recognizing it as a universal language that fosters connections between individuals. For her, life without music is unimaginable. She is committed to instilling this passion in her students, spanning from elementary school to college level.
