Timothy Daly has been playing the piano and reading music for over forty years. His love of music started when his father taught him at the age of six years old. Since then, He has played privately and professionally in many different facets, ranging from cocktail parties to church worship celebrations. His ultimate choice of music is playing Jazz, but he is also an avid lover of the classics and contemporary hits as well. His favorite artists include Billy Joel, Elton John, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Mozart, and any other artist's song he can pick up by ear.
As far as education goes, Tim has a double Masters in Elementary Education and Educational Leadership. He has been teaching Elementary students for over fifteen years. His music lesson plan consists of music theory, tempo, and learning how to play the piano. Most importantly, FUN will be sprinkled in throughout your learning.
Tim has performed in many different facets. As a student he accompanied chorus performances and went on solo music competitions in New York. As a young adult, Tim played at his local Catholic Church, and accompanied the choir at mass. He also played during cocktail hours for his DJ business and at local nursing homes in the area at holiday time. As an adult, Tim played in many churches, both Catholic and Christian. He has accompanied his daughter during solo competitions and accompanied the chorus at Discovery Elementary, and Mirror Lake Elementary Schools here in Florida.
Tim knows it is important to get to know his students. This way, he can infuse your child’s interests into that music you’ll play. He can also get a sense as to how your child learns, so that they can quickly become a successful musician. Accessing a child’s learning style is the first step in establishing core values and methods and becoming a successful learner. Not everyone learns the same way, and that is why he makes an investment in your child by learning all about how they learn. This will help them capture and create an interest in learning music. Being able to capture a child’s interest is the first key step in creating a lifelong musician. It’s all about creating that first impression!
When working with Tim, he partners with you to provide not only a lifetime of great music, but also an appreciation that your child can take with them and use in all aspects of their life in the future.
