Tiger Scott has been a musician and a music lover since he was 3 years old. That is how old he was when he began learning how to play drums. It started off as him patting the kitchen table or counter growing up, pots, pans, or anything else he could get his hands on to drum on. He began playing drums more seriously when he was 14 years old. He has also been playing the acoustic guitar and piano for several years. Tiger prides himself on being a very well-versed musician when it comes to his instrument diversity as well as his skill level on each instrument he has learned to play.
Tiger took formal music lessons growing up, but for the most part has taught himself everything he knows about music in general, and about the instruments he plays. He is very knowledgeable on music theory, fundamentals, and techniques. He considers his teaching style to be of an approach that tackles how to first master the basics so that a student can then take what they learn and apply it in a way that allows them to express the creativity inside of their own minds.
Tiger enjoys performing and gigging around the Dallas area. Tiger is a musician as his home church, and he also plays at various other churches in the Dallas area. He has also has opportunities to play at venues such as the House of Blues, Trees, and The Piano Bar. He loves the idea of being well informed of all different styles of music as he considers music a universal language, believing that there is something for everyone.
Tiger has an incredible passion for music and teaching. He loves any chance he gets to work with students and be able to help them develop on their talents and gifts as musicians, and he loves any opportunity to spread his love for music with others. He hopes to be able to do so for a very long time.
