    Stephanie is an advocate for sound, movement, expression, and creativity as fundamental forms of learning. She is an enthusiastic performer, continuous learner, and student of the earth. She spends most of her time playing make believe with youth, exploring in nature, and practicing a variety of wellness methods. With a decade of nationwide teaching, Stephanie holds degrees in both Music Education and Vocal Performance/Theater.

    Stephanie has created a unique practice that guides students to connect and empower one's self, promoted through fun and creative practices, fostering confident, and compassionate learners. Her favorite moments in teaching are seeing a student’s courage to try something challenging and fully express themselves! She holds two bachelor's degrees in both Music Education and Music Performance with a emphasis in voice from Frostburg State University (Maryland). Additionally, Stephanie is a registered trauma-informed yoga teacher (RYT-200; Breathe for Change and Kidding Around Yoga), mental health first aid responder, (Mental Health First Aid) social-emotional learning facilitator (B4C), certified sound therapy specialist (Sound Healing Academy) and reiki practitioner (Usui Method- Aimee Phlegar).

    As an educator, Stephanie has field work with a vast pool of students from coast to coast. Ten years ago, she began her teaching career in public schools. From there, Stephanie has worked in a variety of government and non-profit sectors, academic and sacred private schools, afterschool programs and solo and group music lessons. Currently, she is the resident music and movement teacher at Bellevue Montessori School, where she hosts weekly classes for students aged 2-12. One of Stephanie's greatest joys is organizing, and directing annual school plays, performing at local venues including Bellevue Youth Theater and Kirkland Performing Arts Center.

    As a performer, Stephanie has spent most of her life on and backstage; entertaining has been the driving force of her life. Stephanie has taken the stage in a variety of performing arts styles in Maryland, D.C., Alaska, and Washington. Some of her performance accolades include on-stage roles in musicals (Godspell, Anything Goes, Victor/Victoria, A Funny Thing Happened...) plays (A Christmas Carol, The Crucible, Vagina Monologues) operas (The Magic Flute, Hansel and Gretel, Cosi Fan Tutte) and classical pieces (Verdi's Requiem, Orff's Carmina Burana, Handel's Messiah).

    As a healer, Stephanie embodies the wellness practices of yoga, breathwork, meditation, dance, and sound therapy. She holds weekly kids and family yoga classes with Seattle Kids Yoga at The Heybrook. Additionally, she is the co-founder of In Harmony, a pair of musicians and space holders, offering accessible sound baths to all people. In Harmony hosts monthly baths at Blosm studio in Seattle and offers in-home, private sessions. Stephanie plays and teaches guitar, piano, ukulele, percussion, and loves to sing. You will often find her collaborating and jamming with friends, and attending local song circles and Kirtan.

    Stephanie's favorite place to be is in the mountains. She is an avid hiker, rock-hounder, camper, and adventurer. Stephanie also finds delight in dancing, gardening, cooking, and exploring nature with her life partner and her cat companion, Icarus.
