Starina D’Haiti (she/her) is international recognized cellist with a passion for teaching cello, piano, and violin. She attended DePauw University and in the New World School of the Arts, majoring in Music Performance on the Cello. Starina's repertoire includes versatile pieces like classical concertos , 21st century pieces, to studio film soundtracks.
Starina has studied under Micheal Andrews at the Miami Music Project, Eddar at Miami Arts Charter, John Marshall at Interlochen, Andrew Gaskins at DePauw University and is currently studying under Bryan Hayslett at the New World of the Arts. Starina is currently a lead teaching artist for the Miami Music Project and Teeny Violini, and she is also a member of the New Canon Chamber Collective. Born in Port Au Prince Haiti, Starina departed her homeland in 2010 and found an attachment to the arts which has kept her grounded in Miami.
Starina loves sharing her passion of music with all of her students. When not teaching or performing music Starina can be found nourishing her non-musical interests which include Makeup-Artistry, Creative Writing, Cooking, and being an entrepreneur by starting her own business in the midst of a pandemic!
