Shannon Carscallen is a passionate, fun, and open minded violin and viola teacher. She has been playing for 25 years, and loves to explore different styles and genres of music. Shannon grew up in northern Arizona and began playing violin at the young age of 4. Though Shannon grew up with the Suzuki method, she loves to match playing styles to a student’s personality.
Shannon graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor's of Arts in Education, and continued on to teach both English and Orchestra at the Middle School and High School levels. She is great with kids, teens, tweens, and adults.
Shannon is always in awe at the creativity of her students. She loves the special connection that playing music together creates between individuals, and she knows that the best way to becoming a musician is to love the music you are playing.
