    About Rawan Shurbjy

    Rawan has been playing the violin since the age of 10. Throughout her years of playing, she has performed in various orchestras and chamber groups as well as churches, weddings, and other hired events. Currently, she is a violinist with the Georgia State University Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Dr. Tamara Dworetz, who has served as the director of various orchestras such as the Paris Mozart Orchestra, the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, the Georgia Philharmonic, and more. Rawan also studies violin with Professor Tania Maxwell Clements, a viola performance graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama who has performed with many different ensembles such as the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the East of England Orchestra, and more. Rawan is currently pursuing a Music Education degree and plans on teaching high school orchestra once she has completed her degree.
