Michel's musical journey began at four years old under the guidance of esteemed Juilliard alumnus Romel Joseph. Her passion for classical music blossomed through concerts and competitions, starting piano lessons at eight and studying with renowned instructors such as John Arguello and Getty Goodwin. Michel expanded her repertoire to include the viola at thirteen, becoming the first violist for the prestigious South Florida Youth Symphony (SFYS) and receiving mentorship from Richard Fleishman and Viera Borisova.
Throughout her college years, Michel shared her expertise, teaching the beginning string program for SFYS and contributing to the Miami Music Project. She also founded the Hope String Orchestra, providing orchestral experience, directed the Easy Listening Orchestra, and organized the Anointed Easter Music Competition and Recital. As a soloist, Michel has performed across Europe, Alaska, and the Caribbean, captivating audiences with her exceptional talent. She actively freelances in the vibrant music scenes of Indianapolis and South Florida, participating in renowned music festivals such as the Gateways Music Festival and the Colour of Music Festival.
Michel's academic journey has been remarkable, training at institutions like Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and Florida Atlantic University. Currently pursuing her degree at Temple University under the tutelage of Kerri Ryan from the Philadelphia Orchestra, Michel is on the brink of completing her education. Beyond her performances, she dedicates herself to the music community by serving as a teaching artist at South Florida Youth Orchestra, teaching music workshops, and has a private studio.
