    About Paul Jackson

    Born in Englewood, Colorado, Paul Jackson is a CU Denver, Music Business and applied guitar graduate. He began listening and learning songs by ear at the age of 15, and was trained by the guitarist, Jeff Matchet from 2000 to 2004. Paul has 10 years of experience with studio and live sound, recording his own demos and working with IATSE and Spot on Sound Productions. In 2012, Paul auditioned in to CU Denver's music program and studied applied jazz guitar under Bill Kopper, Paul Musso, and Dan Schwindt. He played in various ensembles, including a jazz guitar ensemble, and the electro-acoustic ensemble under Todd Reid. He currently plays in a band called, Them Shooks, with fellow, classically trained musicians and composers. Paul spends at least 30 hours a week, practicing, and is always learning something new.
