Teacher Profile: Nicholas Hannan

About Nicholas Hannan

Interested in music from an early age, Nic Hannan began taking piano lessons at 6 years old. Continuing to learn the piano through high school, Nic discovered his passion for singing and being part of the choir. By his Junior year of high school, Nic joined Pueblo East High School's top chamber and a capella choirs, and even went to sing in Top of the Nation Honor Choir and All State Choir.

Upon graduating high school in 2015, Nic decided to continue to his education in music at Adams State University. Studying under Dr. William Lipke, Nic sharpened his piano skills and continued to develop into a well rounded musician. Dr. Lipke was able to help Nic get a job in Adams State University's tutoring department, helping other music students with questions about piano class. Nic also continued his pursuit of singing, by joining all 3 of Adams State's choirs and taking voice lessons under Dr. Shellie Beeman. Nic graduated from Adams State University in 2019 with his Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance and a minor in Vocal Performance.

Upon graduating college, Nic continued pursuing a career in music, teaching lessons as well as playing piano and singing in art openings and retirement homes. Nic moved to Denver in 2022 to continue furthering his musical aspirations, and began playing piano in a R&B/Soul/Pop/Rock band called Soul Creation.

In his free time, Nic enjoys spending time with his family, playing with his dog, Hans, spending time in nature, and watching concerts. Nic considers himself a student of life, and always wants to continue learning and educating himself.
