She holds a Bachelor's in Piano Performance from the Harid Conservatory of Music at Lynn University, as well as Vocal and Piano pedagogy certificates from Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ. She has training in the Taubman method of piano playing to avoid injury prevention and has studied classical bel-canto vocal technique with the famous lyric soprano Marjorie Gordon.

She has performed at clubs such as the Open Stage Club in Coral Gables, Jazid in South Beach, and has given recitals at the 92nd Street Y in New York City as well as graced the stages of the Broward Center for the Performing Arts and the Kravitz Center. In 2015, she was selected to sing "God Bless America" for the Marlins vs. Braves Game, during the 7th inning stretch. She has fused her classical training with her love of popular music and is currently recording an original album.

Megan Lopez is active in the music community as a performer and arts activist and is associated with the famous manager John Tovar.
