    About Matt Bullard

Matt Bullard has been playing music for as long as he can recall. What started out as an obsession to make a ruckus in his family kitchen eventually led to his first guitar lesson. After graduating, he attended Florida State University, where he received a degree in music. During that time, he played among local and national talent, including George Clinton at the Ruby Diamond Concert Hall in Tallahassee, FL. He was involved with numerous ensembles and was grateful to learn from some of the best performers in the country.

Matt finds inspiration from rock, jazz, soul, and strong coffee. He currently teaches guitar, bass, ukulele, songwriting and music production. He has also worked with various record labels and even been featured on Spotify playlists. His work can be heard in H&M, Zara, Starbucks and other retail places. Outside of writing and recording with multiple artists, he's performed throughout Florida. At FSU, he played in multiple ensembles (classical guitar, folk, and more). He's also played throughout central Florida with local and national acts.

During college, Matt began teaching beginning guitar lessons and continued teaching lightly during his time on the west coast. In 2018 he returned and began teaching music exclusively back in Orlando. Since then he's taught guitar, piano, bass guitar, and ukulele. He's even taught after school ensemble programs. Matt has worked with students of all ages.

Matt has a three fold approach to teaching which includes: theory/ear training, technique and repertoire. This sets goals for the student while giving them a solid foundation and being well rounded. However, the priority is that the student is being engaged and is able to walk away knowing how to play something. It's important for lessons to be fun and that students feel like they are constantly setting goals they can hit. With all of that being said, he can't wait to meet and jam with you!
