    About Madison Feddersen

    Madison Feddersen is a Seattle transplant from Los Angeles, California since 2016. They're a passionate and dedicated music educator with over two decades of experience in private and with ensemble groups, teaching their primary instrument, cello, as well as the violin and viola. With a deep commitment to fostering creativity, skill development, and a love for music in their students, Madison's teaching philosophy centers around personalized instruction tailored to each individual's goals and learning style. Madison has also held a career as an early childhood special education teacher for students with severe behavioral and emotional challenges where they worked for over 15 years with diverse learners.

    Madison started playing the cello at the age of 4, studying with the Suzuki Method until they were 18 years old. Madison holds a Bachelor Special Education and a Minor in Music Performance on Cello from Gonzaga University where they also were on a scholarship for the NCAA Div 1 women’s rowing program. Additionally, they received a Masters of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Cal State, Long Beach.

    They have performed with many orchestral and traveling group, playing the cello around the world in places like Australia, Austria, Czech Republic, China, and Honk Kong- to name a few! They studied various styles such as fiddle music with a performance on the Sydney Opera House stage in Australia and classical music while performing on the Walt Disney Hall stage in Los Angeles! During the time they were performing and teaching in LA, some of their favorite performances were playing cello in the pit orchestra for local musical productions of 'My Fair Lady', 'The Sound of Music', and 'Hairspray!'.

    Since moving to the Seattle area, Madison has played for the Rainer Symphony Orchestra based in Tukwila. Madison believes all children should have the experience of learning music no matter where they see themselves in the future. Their goal is for students to have fun and challenge their abilities through the power of music!
