About Lisa Macklin

LisaMac has been an instructor and mentor to many dedicated students. She goes to great lengths to bring out the creativity and musical expression in each student's voice. Regardless of skill level, Lisa encourages and demonstrates how to connect the inner musician to every performance, bringing each piece to life. Lisa is a vocalist, instructor, entrepreneur, and international recording artist. While she has received formal classical training, she enjoys performing a wide variety of musical styles. With boundless experience, Lisa is passionate about sharing the knowledge and skills she has amassed throughout her career with her students. She has been a member of countless musical groups since her teens, including choirs, ensembles, duos, and gospel performance choirs. She also enjoys performing jazz, classical, reggae, funk, soul, rhythm and blues, and rock 'n' roll. An alumna of Nova Southeastern University, Lisa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance, a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Behavioral Science and Forensic Investigative Technology. Currently, Lisa leads You're On! Inc. and Showplace Performing Arts Academy & Theatre, where she is committed to changing lives through the world of the arts. She is also the lead singer of Sweet Nothings Band, performing classic rock and pop favorites. LisaMac is an international recording artist whose voice has been heard and admired in more than ten countries. In addition to being available on Amazon Music, her music has been featured on MTV's True Life and Joking Off, Fuse TV's Absolute Dance, Melania & Justin, as well as RuPaul's Drag Race, Grossbusters, and Say It in Song. Her latest projects have yet to be completed.
