Katie Sanders, MT-BC, is a board-certified music therapist who attained her bachelors degree in music at DePauw University, and her music therapy degree at St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. She completed her Neurologic Music Therapy certification in March of 2019. Katie plays and teaches several instruments, including clarinet and saxophone, piano, voice, guitar, and ukulele. She is also a Music Together instructor.
Katie has worked with a variety of populations including mental health, varying neurologic conditions, active duty military and their families, and hospice/memory care.
Katie enjoys playing and teaching a variety of musical styles including pop, rock, jazz, and classical. She enjoys working with all ages. It’s her goal that students find beauty, enjoyment and fun in playing and learning an instrument so that they can be lifelong players and music enthusiasts.
Katie loves mountain biking, hiking, travel, and yoga in her free time.
