Teacher Profile: Javier Silva

About Javier Silva

Javier is a passionate performer and instructor of cello, violin, and French horn. Since the age of 10, Javier Silva has studied music beginning with the cello. He later then picked up the French horn as his secondary instrument.

Javier has achieved principle horn and cello for TMEA All-Region all four years of high school, and has consistently gotten high rankings for State Solo and Ensemble.

Currently, Javier studies at Richland College to pursue a degree in Music Education. He studies with Symphoniacs member, Colin Stokes.

During his time at Richland, he has performed the Hayden and Lalo cello concerto with the school's orchestra. He is also a member of the Mesquite Symphony!

He hopes to inspire a new generation of musicians!
