About David Allen

Originally hailing from Australia, Dave embarked on his career early, delving into the world of professional music while pursuing his undergraduate Music Degree. Following the completion of his formal education in Australia, he fulfilled a long-standing dream by launching his career in Los Angeles, California. Dave spent 25 successful years in Los Angeles before making the move to Miami in 2023.

In the vibrant city of Los Angeles, Dave carved out a distinguished career as a professional Drummer/Percussionist and Educator, offering lessons in Drums, Piano, and Guitar. He established a 16-track Drum/Percussion studio in North Hollywood, where he recorded for Film, TV, Bands, and Singer/Songwriters, all while imparting his musical wisdom. Currently, Dave is in the process of relocating his recording studio from Los Angeles to Miami.

Dave's musical footprint includes recording drums for the soundtrack of the popular movie 'American Pie 2' and collaborating with Emmy award-winning composer Mac Quayle on TV series such as 'Mr. Robot' and 'Gaslit.' Additionally, he contributed to the 2023 Netflix original movie 'Leave the World Behind,' featuring renowned actors Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali, Ethan Hawke, and Myah'La.

On the global stage, Dave toured with Platinum-selling artist Michelle Branch, making notable appearances in her music videos 'Everywhere' and 'All You Wanted,' collectively amassing over 45 million views on YouTube. Notably, he counts Hollywood legend Betty White as one of his esteemed drum students, an experience that unfolded on the set of her hit TV series, 'Hot in Cleveland.'

Dave's recent achievements include engineering and playing drums on two songs for artist/producer Aaron Mclain, both garnering over 750,000 views on YouTube within a few months.

In terms of teaching philosophy, Dave is committed to providing students with a solid musical foundation for advancement while ensuring an enjoyable learning experience.
