    About Chasity Ford

Chasity Ford is a proud Virginia native who teaches Voice and Piano in the Washington, D.C. area. Her primary instrument is Voice, and she teaches a wide array of genres and styles. She also works with Piano students from beginning through intermediate levels.

Chasity began singing and studying classical music her sophomore year of college and fell in love with it from that moment on! She studied Vocal Performance with a minor in African American Studies from Mary Baldwin University. Her voice teacher, Dr. Anne Wick, encouraged her to pursue a career in music since she showed an immense passion for it.

Chasity's interest include Opera, more specifically works of Black composers. Her senior recital/project titled, Classically, Gifted and Black: A Comparative Glance at Black Composers Throughout Time, was awarded Top Honors in Mary Baldwin University's annual Capstone Festival. She also has a hand in formulating the Opera and Musical Theatre scenes course at her previous institution. Chasity is pursuing her Master of Music Performance degree at The Illustrious Howard University. In her free time she enjoys reading, fashion, and everything pink!
