    About Carson Moody

    Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, Carson Moody enjoys teaching diverse individuals of all ages and backgrounds with a strong belief that music is a tool that can be used to benefit all of society. In spreading the joy of music to others, he hopes that it will bring a heightened sense of mindfulness, collaborative effort, and emotional intelligence to everyone!

    Carson is a musician, mover, and teacher who collaborates with multifaceted artists in fields from pop to the avant garde. Carson is a founding member of TIGUE, hailed as "high octane' by the New York Times. TIGUE records and performs original and commissioned works internationally and has collaborated with Deerhoof and Yo La Tengo. Their two original albums, "Peaks" and "Strange Paradise", were released with New Amsterdam Records and NNA Tapes. Carson also performs with the “new music dream team” (TimeOutNY), Ensemble Signal. Signal performs nationwide from Lincoln Center to Walt Disney Concert Hall (Los Angeles, CA) frequently collaborating with minimalist pioneer, Steve Reich. Carson loves to move, practicing Gaga and Ido Portal movement. He is thrilled to make discoveries from interdisciplinary work in music and movement.
