Music has always played a major role in Caitlin Donaghy’s life. When she was 8 years old, she began classical training on the piano. Throughout grade school she was always active in the music programs offered. In symphonic and marching band she played the clarinet, french horn, and mellophone. Caitlin decided to pursue higher education in the field of music and completed her bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy at Berklee College of Music in 2010. There she continued to study piano as her principle instrument, studied guitar and voice as well.
Caitlin recently relocated to the Denver area from Philadelphia. Back in Philly, she taught as a private piano and guitar instructor for children and adults, lead parent and infant/toddler based music classes, and was the hired pianist for a church in her community. As a teacher, Caitlin feels that it is key to give students the proper tools and motivation to successfully practice and progress towards their personal goals. She acknowledges that all students learn differently, and aims to work with her students to discover how best to approach lessons so that they are always fun and productive.
