    About Brian Jones

Brian Jones has been performing music since the age of 7. His earliest experiences were performing in his church choir, then transitioning to learn keyboard in high school at age 14. Under the direction of the legendary Dr. Kay Pace, Brian quickly advanced in group piano classes, becoming the fine arts magnet schools (now known as Stilwell School of the Arts) first piano minor. Brian was tenor section leader for three years, and student choirmaster his senior year. While still in high school, Brian was a 4 year attendee of the GMEA All-State Choir, in addition to the prestigious All-State Sight Reading Choir as well as other honor choirs like Spivey Hall and District Honor choir.

Following high school, Brian attended the University of West Georgia studying music education and graduating with a degree in music composition. As a composition student, Brian had several original pieces of music premiered while in school, most notably for the UWG Jazz ensemble in the SunBelt Jazz Festival in 2018. Brian also served as a student accompanist in many recitals, and collaborations with the University's Theatre Department. In 2017, he began offering private piano lessons for the community and music theory tutoring for his peers. He taught early elementary to retired locals, and all ages in between!

Upon graduating in 2020, Brian moved to Denver where he performed extensively at jazz lounges, golf clubs, dive bars, and everything in between with his group Tones Collective. While performing, he built a thriving private studio of piano and composition in Denver and Aurora. From 2022-2023, Brian served as the Assistant Director and Accompanist for the Evergreen Children's Chorale, as well as an Assistant Director for the Evergreen players, and the Music Director for K-12 summer musicals. Altogether, he has 10+ years of playing experience in multiple genres and areas including: keyboard ensembles, stage productions, solo performances, competitions, choral & instrumental accompaniment, choral conducting, jazz bands and much more. Now living in Georgia, he is excited to be following his passions back where they all started! Brian's goal is to help others find their joy in music, and promote the holistic nature of the arts while maintaining a relaxed and fun environment.
