    About Bianca Tavares

    Bianca has been playing violin for 15 years and has taught both privately and in group settings for 9 years. Bianca currently attends Florida International University, where she is pursuing a degree in Music Education. Bianca has studied with world-renowned professors, such as Misha Vitenson, MeiMei Luo, Melanie Riordan, Archange Michel, and Romel Joseph. Bianca has also had the privilege of participating in masterclasses with James Ehnes, Emerson String Quartet, Joel Smirnoff, and Toby Appel.

    Bianca has performed with orchestras all over South Florida, including Miami Music Project Honors Orchestra, Alhambra Symphony Orchestra, Wallenstien Symphony Orchestra, South Florida Youth Symphony Orchestra, and Broward Symphony Orchestra. Bianca attended the prestigious Interlochen Arts Camp in 2015, as well as Miami Classical Music Festival (2017-2019), University of Miami’s Young Musicians Camp (2012;2014), and Be Better with Bergonzi Chamber Music Workshop (2018). Bianca has performed in Illinois, New York, Boston, Kentucky, Ohio, Minnesota, and Michigan. Bianca has performed in local venues, such as Adrienne Arsht Center, North Miami Beach Performing Arts Theater, and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

    In regards to Bianca’s teaching experience, Bianca has taught at Miami Music Project, Evolutionary Arts Life in partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami, Through The Staff, Miami Fine Arts Academy, as well as her own private students. Bianca’s ultimate goal is to continue to spread her knowledge about music to as many people as possible because everybody deserves to have access to the performing arts.
