Andrew Villalba is a drummer, music educator, producer, and studio engineer based in Miami, FL. He has been playing the drums since 2008, playing in his first band at the age of 11. Andrew played in both concert and jazz bands in his middle and high school, earning superiors in regional and district performances. He was also a member of the Miami Palmetto Senior High School Marching Band, where he earned the title of center snare and drumline captain in his senior year. Outside of school, he joined the award winning Community Arts Program All-Star Jazz Band in 2016, under the direction of Daniel Strange. He went on to perform at iconic venues such as the Mandarin Oriental, and played live on the air at 88.9 WDNA. Currently, Andrew performs throughout Miami playing different styles of music. He’s also working as a studio engineer, helping artists record their performances with the best quality possible. Believing anyone can benefit from playing music, Andrew works to instill the foundation of playing drums. Through technique, theory, and a passion for music he works with students to see their own potential.
