Alex Marion, an alto born in Anderson, South Carolina, raised in Atlanta, Georgia began studying acoustic guitar at 11 years old. He got his start performing in his school competition choir and jazz band, where he sang as lead until graduation. In high school, under the instruction of Vada M. Coleman, Alex sang in various events and choir groups across Atlanta. He also took on his first guitar students in high school, where he first discovered his passion for teaching. From there, Will went on to receive his B.A. in Kinesiology from Georgia State University.

Alex teaches his students how learning music can be extremely fun. He aims to combine elements of practical application and theory to allow his students to learn important lessons about hard work and perseverance, while simultaneously expressing individuality. In everyone of his students, he sees a chance cultivate personal sense of structure, an appreciation for the voice, guitar, and to expand as a musician.

Being that he is both a private instructor and production director at Crossroads Sound Stage Theatre shows how passionate about both performing and teaching music he is. He deploys a versatile teaching style in which his students learn all aspects of singing, proper vocal technique, audition etiquette, and performance skills.
