About Xin Guan

Grace is a highly experienced and patient piano teacher with over 25 years of teaching expertise. She has taught both in China and the United States, including periods in California and Virginia. Grace graduated in  Shanghai Conservatory of Music with Master degree. She is also a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).She honed her craft and developed a deep understanding of music theory and performance.  

As a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Grace is committed to maintaining the highest standards in music education. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes patience, adaptability, and a personalized approach, ensuring that each student’s unique needs and goals are met. Grace places a strong emphasis on building a solid foundation in piano technique, music theory, and sight-reading, which enables her students to excel in their musical journeys.  

Many of Grace’s students have achieved outstanding results in the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) piano and theory examinations. Additionally, her students have consistently earned awards in various piano competitions, reflecting Grace’s ability to nurture both skill and artistry.
