    About William Jaya

William started his classical music training with a German professor at the age of 15 years old. He instantly fell in love with Chopin's highly technical, yet poetically expressive style. For William, Chopin’s music touches his heart in a unique way unlike any other composer. After just one year of taking private piano lesson, William participated in a piano competition at his international school, competing with pianists from all over the world and he won first prize winner for three consecutive years.

William has been giving lessons to many young musicians and has found it very fulfilling. He has coached pianists from University of Washington School of Music, Cornish College of the Arts, and Bellevue College. With 12 years of experience, William has a wide range of repertoire including Disney classics (Aladdin, Cinderella, Lion King, Frozen, Mulan), Contemporary music (Yiruma, Nobuo Uematsu, Phantom of the Opera, Richard Clayderman), and Romantic classical music (Chopin, Schubert, Liszt, Debussy, Ravel, Beethoven).

Furthermore, William enjoys playing the piano for his community. He volunteers at EvergreenHealth Hospital, where he has played for more than 200 hours of classical favorites. In 2015, he received recognition from the hospital as a classical pianist.

Additionally, William attended University of Washington Foster School of Business where he graduated with a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Information Systems. In 2012, he won first prize winner for UW Strategic Management Competition and UW Audit Competition. He has worked with many prestigious companies in the field of management consulting, information technology, healthcare, and machinery.

However, William's favorite thing to do is to play the piano. He loves opening his students’ mind to a whole new world of composers and their music.
