About Val Deris

Val Deris is a professional music artist and dedicated piano and voice instructor who brings both artistry and structure to every lesson. With a lifelong background in music, Val began playing piano at age 4 and singing by age 8, building a deep understanding of musical technique, creativity, and performance from an early age.

At 15 years old, Val had the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall in New York, followed by three years singing in the Disney Candlelight Processional Choir, where professionalism, teamwork, and musical excellence were essential. Val has also performed throughout South Florida and Dallas, Texas, gaining real-world performance experience that is thoughtfully passed on to students.

As a teacher, Val has over a year of experience instructing students in both voice and piano, with a teaching style that balances strong fundamentals, encouragement, and creativity. Lessons are tailored to each child’s age, learning style, and goals—whether they are just beginning or building confidence for performances and recitals.

Born and raised in South Florida, Val relocated to Dallas in pursuit of continued growth as both an artist and educator. Val is especially passionate about helping children develop a lifelong love for music, creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel confident, inspired, and excited to learn—just as Val did when discovering music at a young age.
